Paul's Letter to the Hebrews

We just learned about Paul's second letter to the Thessalonians.

Another letter Paul wrote was to the Hebrew people who thought that Jesus was not the Messiah because he did not come as a king conquering the world for his Hebrew followers.

Paul told them that Jesus came as a priest to atone for everyone's sins, and that he would come again another time as a king to conquer the world.

Woman with a Fan - Metzinger

We just learned about the painting Portrait of Jacques Nayral by French artist Albert Gleizes.

Another famous work of art is the painting Woman with a Fan by French artist Jean Metzinger in 1912.

This is another painting in the abstract art style of cubism.
You can see in the painting that there is a woman with a fan, sitting on a bench.
The different shapes and colors are there to show the many different sides and different shapes in the world, and the wild shapes almost make it look like the painting is moving.

Powderpuff Chinese Crested Dog

We just learned about the Hairless Chinese Crested Dog.

Another type of dog is the Powderpuff Chinese Crested Dog.

This is actually the same type of dog as the hairless kind, but it has a whole lot of hair, and even needs to get haircuts sometimes to keep the hair shorter.

The hairless and powderpuff dogs can even be born to the same mother dog, so they can be brothers and sisters but some of them have hair and some don't.

Subclavian Vein

We just learned about the superior vena cava vein that brings deoxygenated blood into the heart from above the heart.

That vein is connected to the left and right subclavian veins which go across the chest.
One goes to the left, and one goes to the right.

These veins bring deoxygenated blood from the chest area to go back to the heart.

The flag of Guam has a blue background, a red border, and the seal in the middle.
The seal is shaped like a type of stone called a Chamorro sling stone, which was used for hunting.
On the seal are a coconut, a boat called a proa, a palm tree, a river and the Agana Bay.
