We just learned about the Christian Song Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen.

Another famous Christian song is called Were You There.

This song was another song that was sung by African Americans when they were slaves, and then later written down and put in a book of hymns for churches to sing.

It goes through four verses, and in each one asks if you were there for one of the sad things that happened to Jesus.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord.
Were you there when they nailed him to the cross.
Were you there when they pierced him in the side.
Were you there when the sun refused to shine.

After every verse it says "Sometimes it causes me to tremble!"
Before the civil war when slavery was still happening in the south, the African American slaves had very hard lives where sometimes they were beaten or even killed.
So sometimes a song like this could maybe help them feel like they were connected to Jesus who also suffered in hard times.

Jesus' Ancestors - Sistine Chapel - Michelangelo

We just learned about the Sistine Chapel paintings of Jesus' ancestors, Aminadab, Naason.
Salmon, Boaz and Obed, Jesse, David and Solomon.
Another few of the ancestor paintings are of Rehoboam and Abijah.

There are 14 total paintings of the ancestors of Jesus around the outside of the Sistine Chapel.
Each one has the names of the ancestors and some people next to the names.

The paintings are of:
Asa, Jehosaphat, Joram
Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz
Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon
Josiah, Jechoniah, Sheatiel
Zerubbabel, Abiud, Eliakim
Azor, Sadoch

Joseph is the father of Jesus, so Michelangelo showed 14 paintings and named 33 of the ancestors of Jesus that are listed in the Bible book of Matthew.

Another type of browser is Chrome.

In 2008 Google thought that the internet browsers out there were not good enough, so they made their own, and called it Chrome.
It is still very popular today and a lot of people use it.

Marbled Polecat

We just learned about the Greater Grison.

Another animal in the same family is the Marbled Polecat, also called Vormela Peregusna.

These animals look a little funny.
They have a black and white face sort of like a badger, but their body is a brown, orange or yellow with black spots on it.
Marbled Polecats grow to be about 30 centimeters long, and weigh about 500 grams.

Sometimes when these little animals get scared they can let out a very stinky smell to tell predators to stay away!
Sort of like a skunk, but they don't spray it up into the air.

Olfactory Receptor

We just learned about the Olfactory Mucosa.

Another part of the nose is the Olfactory Receptor, also called odorant receptors or just OR.

These are tiny little parts of cells in the nose that sit and wait for smells to come in.
There are tiny little hairs called cilia that these cells are in, just waiting for something to smell.

If a smell comes in, it will be made up of some chemicals.
Each olfactory receptor is built to handle a different type of smell.

When a smell like a flower comes in, that will bring flower smelling chemicals into the nose, and the receptors that are waiting for flower smells will get excited and let out other chemicals that tell the brain which kind of smell just came in.

This country is in the Carribbean, and just north of South America and Venezuela.
It is about 180 square kilometers, and about 116,000 people live there.
The people in this country speak Dutch or Papiemento, which is like Portuguese and Spanish mixed.
Some people also speak English and Spanish.
