Van Gogh - Two Peasant Women Digging in the Snow

We just learned about Van Gogh's painting Prisoner's Round.

Another of his famous paintings is Two Peasant Women Digging in the Snow.

In 1890 when Van Gogh was sick and went to the hospital, he had a hard time talking or writing, but he could still paint.
He used some other people's paintings as inspiration for his paintings.

The painting of two peasant women digging in the snow was inspired by a painting from artist Jean-François Millet.

Joseph's family comes to Egypt

We just learned about Joseph in Egypt.

Another part of the Bible is when Joseph's family comes to Egypt.

After Joseph's brothers were jealous of his coat and sold him to strangers, everyone thought he was probably dead.

After Joseph's dream of saving up food to help survive the famine, his family came to Egypt to get food.
They did not know that Joseph was alive and a very important person in Egypt.

When they asked for food, they didn't even recognize Joseph.
He tricked them and said they were stealing from him.

They were very scared and begged for forgiveness, and then he told them who he was.
He told them to go bring the whole family to Egypt and he would take care of them.

And he told them not to be upset with themselves because it was all part of God's plan for him to come to Egypt so he could save them all.
