Next up is the zygomatic bones, also known as your cheekbones.

Palatine bones

Let's learn the other parts of the facial skeleton!

We've already learned about the mandible, maxilla, nasal bone and vomer.
Next up is the palatine bone. If you feel in the roof of your mouth toward the back, that's it! It is part of the roof of your mouth and is below your nose.

Vomer

Next up is the vomer. You can't really see where it is but it's a bone below your nose and above the roof of your mouth.

Nasal bone

Mandible

We've now learned about all the parts of the neurocranium area of the cranium like the Temporal Bone.

Remember the other part of the cranium was the facial skeleton, also called the splanchocranium or viscerocranium.

There are several parts to that bone as well, such as the mandible.

The mandible is also known as your jawbone. It's the part of your skeleton that holds on to your teeth.

Temporal bone

We learned before that the frontal bone, parietal bones, occipital bone, ethmoid bone and sphenoid bone are part of the neurocranium.

The last part of the neurocranium is the temporal bone, located on the side of your head at your temple.

Sphenoid bone

We learned before that the frontal bone, parietal bones, occipital bone and ethmoid bone are part of the neurocranium.

Also part of the neurocranium is the Sphenoid Bone, located right behind your facial skeleton.

Ethmoid Bone

We learned before that the frontal bone, parietal bones and occipital bone are part of the neurocranium.

Also part of the neurocranium is the ethmoid bone, located right behind your nose and eyeballs.

Occipital Bone

We learned before that the Frontal Bone and Parietal Bones are part of the Neurocranium.
Also part of the neurocranium is the occipital bone, located in the back of your head.

Parietal bones

We learned before that the frontal bone is part of the neurocranium.

Also part of the neurocranium are two parietal bones, left and right.
They are the large bones in your skull that make up most of the top and sides for your head.

Frontal Bone

We learned before that the part of your cranium where your brain is at is called the neurocranium

There are eight bones that make up the neurocranium,
one of them is called the Frontal Bone

It starts above your forehead, and goes all the way down to the top of your nose and eyeballs.

Facial Skeleton

Remember we already learned that the head bone or human skull is called the cranium,
and that the part in the back of your head that holds your brain is called the neurocranium

The part in the front that has your face is called your facial skeleton, viscerocranium or splanchocranium.

The whole human skull is called the cranium.
