Karachi Pakistan


We just learned about the city of Chengdu China.


Let's learn a little about the city of Karachi!

This city is in Pakistan.
It is about 3,527 square kilometers, and about 20 million people live there.
The people in this city mostly speak Urdu.

Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan, with the Karachi Kings the biggest team.

To eat in this city you might have Kitchen karahi.
This is a spicy chicken and rice dish with chilis, garlic, tomatos and spices.

Visiting this city you might go see Mohatta Palace, built in 1927 made of pink jodhpur and yellow stone.

There is a beach in Karachi called Hawke's Bay Beach where people go to swim and sometimes ride camels.

Corridor in Saint-Paul Hospital - Van Gogh


We just learned about the Van Gogh - Hospital at Saint-Rémy-de -Provence.

Another of Van Gogh's famous paintings from when he was in that hospital is the Corridor in Saint-Paul Hospital.

When he was in the hospital, there were hallways there that he thought felt very lonely, so he painted them to try and show how they made him feel.

We just learned about the Charlie Flag.

Another of the maritime flags is the Delta Flag, used for the letter D.

Sunflower Sea Star


We just learned about the Eight Armed Sea Star.

Another type of starfish is the Sunflower Sea Star also called the pycnopodia helianthoides.

These starfishes live in the pacific, and are the biggest starfish in the world growing to be about 3 feet wide.
They can have up to 24 arms, and can come in many colors like orange, yellow, red, brown, or purple.
If they get attacked by another animal, they can regrow them within a few weeks.

We just learned about the Stage 1 - Non-REM Sleep.

The next part of sleep after this is Stage 2 - Non-REM Sleep.

During this time, the brain starts to organize all the things you did that day, and helps you sleep through small noises and light changes.
