Freyella Elegans


We just learned about the Nepanthia Belcheri.

Another type of starfish is the Freyella Elegans.

This is a type of starfish that lives in very deep sea, at around 10,000 ft deep in the Atlantic ocean.

Their arms grow to about 8 inches long.

Theta Waves


We just learned about the Alpha Waves.

Another part of sleep is Theta Waves.

During REM sleep, the theta waves that help the brain work with thinking and memory are working while sleeping at the REM time.

We just learned about the city of Istanbul Turkey.


Let's learn a little about the city of Kinshasa!

This city is in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
It is about 10,000 square kilometers, and about 17 million people live there.
The people in this city speak French or Lingala.

Leah's Children


We just learned about Jacob and Rachel.

Another part of the Bible is Leah's Children.

Leah had a bunch of kids with Jacob.

In Genesis 29 and 30, it says the she had sons Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar and Zebulun, and her daughter Dinah.

Irises - Van Gogh


We just learned about Van Gogh's painting of Trees and Undergrowth.

Another of Van Gogh's paintings is of Irises.

He painted this when he was at the Saint-Paul Asylum, where he made lots of paintings of flowers.

Van Gogh liked to paint a lot and he thought it helped make him feel better.

He called it "the lightning conductor for my illness"

We just learned about the Hotel Flag.
