Jet Fuel


We just learned about the Diesel Fuel.

Another thing that is made from oil is Jet Fuel, also called aviation turbine fuel, ATF, or avtur.

Jet fuel is a lot like diesel fuel, but because it has to be used for jet planes flighing high up in the air it has to be a little different.
When the jet goes up very high, it gets very cold so there can't be any water in the fuel or it could freeze.
It also has a very high flash point, which is the temperature that the air fumes start on fire.

Northern Olingo


We just learned about the Ringtail.

Another type of animal in the same family is the Northern Olingo, also called the bushy-tailed olingo or the bassaricyon gabbii.

This small animal only grows to be about 40 centimeters, and weighs a little over 1 kilogram.

They live mostly in the trees of Central America area in countries like Nicaragua and Panama.

Renal Pyramids


We just learned about the Renal Hilum.

Another part of the kidney is the Renal Pyramid.

When the blood comes into the kidneys from the arteries it gets split up into one of these pyramids to get filtered and cleaned up.

People can have anywhere from 10 to 18 pyramids in their kidney.

Guyana


We just learned about the country of

Let's learn a little about the country of Guyana!

This country is in South America, and borders Brazil, Venezuela, Suriname and the Atlantic Ocean.
It is about 215,000 square kilometers, and about 800,000 people live there.
The people in this country speak either English or Guaynese Creole.

The flag of Guyana is green with red and yellow triangles on it.
There is a black line on the red triangle and a white line on the yellow triangle.
Green is for the forests, red is for the good energy, yellow is for minerals like gold, black is for endurance and white is for the water.

To eat in this country you might have dal bhat, which is rice with some types of stews to mix in with it like lentils.

Visiting this country you might go see Kaieteur Falls, which is the largest single drop waterfall in the world.

There are two mountain groups next to each other called Mount Roraima and Kukenan Tepui.
Long ago when the famous author Arthur Conan Doyle visited there, he wrote a story about a lost world of dinosaurs living in between them.

Benjamin


We just learned about Manessah from the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

The last of the Twelve Tribes is Benjami.

Benjamin was the second son of Jacob and Rachel, and the twelfth son of Jacob.

The story of Benjamin was that he was a good young boy who was one of the favorites of his father Jacob.

The Yellow House - Van Gogh


We just learned about the Portrait of Pere Tanguy.

Another of Van Gogh's paintings was The Yellow House made in 1888.

This house was a place that Van Gogh lived and painted in France, and worked with one of his friends Paul Gauguin for a while.
