We just learned about Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel painting of the prophets Isaiah, Daniel, Jonah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joel, and Zechariah.
Another group of 5 prophets that Michelangelo painted on the Sistine Chapel ceiling were called Sibyls, a Greek word that means prophetess.
These were people that were said to have told the future of Jesus' coming, but were not in the Bible.
The 5 Sibyls were called the Persian Sibyl, Erythraean Sibyl, Delphic Sibyl, Cumaean Sibyl, and Libyan Sibyl
Each of these prophetesses was from a different land, and told stories that people think were prophecies telling the future about Jesus coming as a savior for the world.
