Blue Jay

We just learned about the animal called the Mink.

Blue Jays are big bossy loud birds that often chase other birds away from bird feeders.

But they do help other birds!
Blue Jays are great at screaming out warning sounds when hawks are around, and other birds know to go hide or the hawk may come eat them!
They also will work together with other blue jays to try and fight back against hawks that come to attack.
And some blue jays are even able to make the same sounds as a hawk to confuse them!

Apostles and Disciples

We just learned about all of the apostles:
Andrew, Simon Peter, James and John sons of Zebedee, Philip and Bartholemew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, Jude Thaddaeus, Judas Iscariot and Matthias who replaced Judas Iscariot.

Sometimes they are called disciples instead of apostles.
What's the difference?

The word disciple means student.

The word apostle means messenger, or sent one.

Jesus had many disciples. Anyone who is a student of Jesus' teachings can be called a disciple!

The apostles were the 12 people that Jesus chose to send out into the world to spread his message.
