Vomeronasal Organ

We just learned about the .

Another part of the nose is the Vomeronasal Organ.

This is back behind the nose and above the mouth, and is where all of the smells end up for your nose to smell.
The vomeronasal organ has some things called "receptors" that can tell when there are different types of chemicals in the air.
When those receptors sense the chemicals, they tell your brain that they are smelling something.
