Delhi India


We just learned about the city of Guangzhou China.

Let's learn a little about the city of Delhi India!

This city is in India.
It is about 1,400 square kilometers, and about 16 million people live there.
The people in this city speak Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali or other languages.

Cricket and Soccer are the two biggest sports in Delhi, where there are the teams the Delhi Capitals and Delhi F.C.

To eat in this city you might have Kebab, which is cut up meat on a skewer.

Visiting this city you might go see the red fort, built in 1639 for the emperors.

There is a place called the Qutb Minar complex with ancient buildings going back to 1320 AD.

Jacob and Esau


We just learned about the Isaac and Rebekah.

Another part of the Bible is Jacob and Esau, from Genesis 25 to 33.

After Isaac and Rebekah got married, they had twin sons named Jacob and Esau.
Isaac really liked that Esau was a hunter and liked to go out into the country.
Rebekah really liked that Jacob stayed at home and work in the tents.

Jacob and Esau did not get along very well, after Jacob stole special blessings from their dad Isaac.
When they grew up, Jacob moved away from Esau because he was scared that Esau would hurt him.
Later on Esau met up with Jacob and they became friends again.

Trees in the Garden in Front of the Entrance to Saint-Paul Hospital - Van Gogh


We just learned about the Van Gogh painting A Corner of Saint-Paul Hospital and the Garden with a Heavy, Sawed-Off Tree.

Another of Van Gogh's famous paintings is Trees in the Garden in Front of the Entrance to Saint-Paul Hospital.

Van Gogh always loved gardens and felt that they had a special healing power.

When he was at the hospital, he looked at the garden many times and made paintings of the flowers and trees.

Arabic - Do you speak Arabic

Ok how do you say "Do you speak arabic?"

Remember that to say please, you're welcome in Arabic, you say هل تتحدث العربية؟ (hal tatahadath alearabiatu) or (hal tatahadathina alearabiatu) for girls.

To ask if someone speaks Arabic, you say:

هل تتحدث العربية؟ (hal tatahadath alearabiatu) or (hal tatahadathina alearabiatu) 文A


To say yes you would say हنعم (naeam) 文A


or to say no you would say لا (la) 文A

Foxtrot Flag


We just learned about the Echo Flag.

Another of the maritimes is the Foxtrot Flag, used for the letter F.

It is a red diamond, and also means "I am disabled; communicate with me."

Brisingida


We just learned about the Crown of Thorns Starfish.

Another type of starfish is the Brisingida.

These animals can have up to 20 arms, and they live in the deep seas over 1,000 meters deep.

Polysomnography


We just learned about the Stage 3 - Non REM-Sleep.

Another part of sleep is Polysomnography.

This is a kind of sleep study where a doctor hooks someone up to machines to test how their brain, muscles and heart are working while they sleep.
